Xiong Jiaxiang was born in 1991 in China and received his master's degree in Fine Arts (Freie Kunst) from the University of the Arts Bremen, Germany, in 2018. He currently lives and works in Beijing, China. Xiong's works have been exhibited at X Museum (Beijing), Gravity Art Museum (Beijing), Wind H Art Center (Beijing), Zhi Art Museum (Chengdu), the Wallach Art Gallery at Columbia University (USA), Kunstverein Wilhelmshaven (Germany), Museum Schloss Wilhelmsburg (Germany), and other venues. Xiong was shortlisted for the Dangxia Youth Art Award (2022), the Nordwestkunst Prize (2018), and the Wilhelmsburg Art Prize (2017).
