Heidi Lau was born in 1987 in Macau, China. She received her BFA in Printmaking and Drawing from New York University (U.S.) in 2008. Lau’s sculpture practice views clay as the ideal conduit to explore the malleability and materiality of time. Drawing upon mythological, historical, and environmental source narratives, her work suggests anti-categorical, pluralistic imaginings of material and space, channeled through personal memory.
