Song Dong was invited to participate in the 4th Forum on Chinese Contemporary Art and the World, jointly organized by the University of Chicago Center in Beijing and the School of Arts at Peking University, titled “Between Authenticity and Deception.”

This year’s forum explores both the theoretical and practical dimensions of “authenticity and falsity” in contemporary art. Scholars approach the topic from perspectives including philosophy, aesthetics, art history, and art criticism, examining concepts such as authenticity, deception, forgery, falseness, and their complex interrelations. Curators and artists also contribute to the discussions, sharing how these questions are engaged within their own practices.
