Ge Yulu’s work Ge Yulu is currently on view at the Art Museum of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.

The exhibition focuses on the interaction between contemporary artistic practice in China and urban space, addressing urban issues and everyday life within artistic expression as they relate to the artist’s individual experience. Through the artists’ personal practices and perspectives, the exhibition seeks to engage with the shifting boundaries of the city—between the visible and the invisible, the tangible and the intangible, order and disorder, reality and fiction, the public and the private. Within the section titled “Interventions into Urban Issues,” artists discuss questions of urban structure, stratification, circulation, and geography through their creative works.
