1996年6月某日上午冷林与洪浩，宋冬、夏星、王晋、张弓等20多名当代艺术家在中国社科院文学所理论办公室召开“新社会主义”艺术展计划动员会。
（后因资金问题，计划被搁置）
On a morning in June 1996, Leng Lin, Hong Hao, Song Dong, Xia Xing, Wang Jin, Zhang Gong and another twenty or so contemporary artists convoke a mobilization meeting for the planning of the exhibition "new Socialism"in the Theory Department of the Literature Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. (Because of lack of funding, the project was temporarily abandoned).

2002年6月冷林与宋冬在柏林犹太人博物馆外花园，进行关于“新社会主义”的讨论。
In June 2002, Leng Lin and Song Dong carry out a discussion on "New Socialism" in the gardens outside the Jewish Museum in Berlin.

2005年5月19日冷林与刘建华对于此次集体计划交换意见。
On the 19th of May 2005, Leng Lin and Liu Jianhua exchange views on this collective project.

2005年6月8日刘建华与宋冬在飞往法国巴黎的AF129班机上对于此次集体计划交换意见。
On the 8th of June 2005, Liu Jianhua and Song Dong exchange views on this collective project whilst on the flight AF129 to Monpellier, France.

2005年7月16日下午3点至6点洪浩、冷林、刘建华、肖昱、宋冬在北京公社召开此次集体计划的第一次讨论会。
Between 15:00 and 18:00 hours on the 16th of July 2005, the first symposium on this collective project is convoked in a commune in Beijing. The members of the group are established: Hong Hao, Leng Lin, Liu Jianhua, Song Dong and Xiao Yu (in alphabetical order).

7点至8点40分在北京望京海鲜餐厅吃晚饭并持续讨论。
From 19:00 to 20:40 hours the discussion continues over dinner in a seafood restaurant in the Wang Jing area of Beijing.

晚9点15分到宋冬在北京西海西沿5号的家继续讨论至次日凌晨2点。
At 21:15 hours the group arrives at Son Dong's home at number 5 Xihai Xiyan, Beijing, and the discussion continues until 02:00 in the morning.

7月17日下午2点至6点10分，五人到首都钢铁集团总公司考察、讨论。
On the 17th of July from 14:00 until 18:10 hours, the members of the group go to the Capital Iron and Steel Group General Corporation to make an on-the-spot investigation and to carry out a discussion.

晚7点30分到二环路光明桥附近的京富华肥牛城吃饭、继续讨论。
At 19:30 they go to the Jingfuhua Feiniucheng Restaurant near the Guangming Bridge on the Second Ring-road to have dinner and continue the discussion.

7月18日晚20点，五人到紫竹桥附近的中国画研究院内的“主题国际”建筑设计机构进行讨论，凌晨2点30分结束。
On the 18th of July at 20:00 hours, the members of the group go to the International Architectural Design Organization at the Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Painting, near Zizhu Qiao. The discussion ends at 2:30 in the morning.

7月19日刘建华回上海，20日宋冬去德国。商定7月26日回北京后，27日再讨论。
On the 19th of July, Liu Jianhua returns to Shanghai, and on the 20th Song Dong leaves for Germany. It is agreed that the discussion will continue on the 27th, the day after Song Dong returns to Beijing.

7月20日洪浩、肖昱、冷林开始按7·18会议决议开始试验。
On the 20th of July, Hong Hao, Xiao Yu and Leng Lin start to experiment according to the resolution reached on the 18th of July.
7月23日冷林与肖昱、洪浩分别用电话进行讨论。
On the 23rd of July, Leng Lin, Xiao Yu and Hong Hao have separate discussions over the phone.
7月26日宋冬回到北京。
On the 26th of July Song Dong returns to Beijing.

7月27日晚7点，冷林、宋冬、萧昱、洪浩在北京西海鱼生饭庄讨论。刘建华因上海临时有事，没按原定时间到北京，通过电话参与讨论。讨论至次日凌晨2点结束。
On the 27th of July, Leng Lin, Song Dong, Xiao Yu and Hong Hao carry on the discussions in Xihaiyu Restaurant in Beijing. Because Liu Jianhua has to attend to unexpected matters in Shanghai, he does not return to Beijing as originally planned, and takes part in the discussion over the phone. The meeting goes on until 02:00 in the morning.

7月28日刘建华到北京。
On the 28th of July Liu Jianhua arrives in Beijing.

7月29日晚8点30分，五人到达“主题国际”建筑设计机构进行讨论。
On the 29th of July at 18:30, five members of the group arrive at the International Architectural Design Organization to carry out a discussion.

8月1日，订好赴河南许昌火车票，五人于当日20点在北京西站旅客餐厅吃晚饭并讨论。
On the 1st of August, Leng Lin books train tickets to Xuchang in Henan, and the members of the group meet at 20:00 in a restaurant in Beijing West Station where they carry on the discussion over dinner.

晚21点13分登上北京西——湛江K157次火车，在9号车厢内讨论。次日凌晨4点讨论结束。
At 21:13 the group gets on the K157 Beijing West-Zhanjiang train, and they continue the discussion in carriage number 9 until 04:00 in the morning.

8月2日，早6点35分五人到达许昌。
On the 2nd of August at 06:35 in the morning, the members of the group arrive at Xuchang.

9点30分乘“面的”去临颍县南街村，在“面的”车上进行讨论。
At 09:30 they get on a taxi-van and go to Nanjie Village in Linying County, and carry on the discussion on the taxi.

10点25分到达南街村宾馆，11点55分冒雨开始对南街村进行考察，中午在南街村宾馆餐厅吃午饭，讨论。
At 10:25 they arrive at Nanjie Village Hotel, and at 11:55 start their observation and study of Nanjie Village braving the rain. They then have lunch at the hotel and carry on the discussion.

下午15点乘坐南街村旅游车在导游员的引领下参观、考察、南街村并进行讨论。
At 15:00 hours, they get on a tourist coach, and under the guidance of the tour guide examine and deliberate on Nanjie Village.

晚19点在临颍县城招待所过道的瓦锅鱼大排挡吃晚饭并讨论。
At 19:00 they have dinner and a discussion in Waguoyu Dapaidang Restaurant, in the same alley where the Lin Ying Guesthouse is found.

21点在“飞龙洗浴中心”洗澡，继续讨论。
At 21:00 they take a shower in the 'Feilong Bathing Centre' and carry on the discussion.

23点回到南街村宾馆312客房内继续讨论，凌晨1点08分结束。
At 23:00 they return to room 312 of the Nanjie Village Hotel, and carry on the discussion until 01:08.

8月3日上午10点48分开始在南街村考察、讨论、拍照。
On the 3rd of August at 10:48 they start to observe and study Nanjie Village, taking photographs and discussing.

中午12点到临颍县宏绅楼餐厅吃午饭并讨论。
At 12:00, the group arrives at the Hongshenlou Restaurant and has a discussion over lunch.

下午2点15分继续在南街村考察、讨论、拍照。
At 14:15 the group continues observing, discussing and taking pictures of the village.

下午18点离开南街村乘 “面的 ”去许昌。
At 18:00 the group takes a taxi-van to Xuchang.

9点35分在许昌群英会酒楼讨论，21点10分结束。
At 19:35 the group continues their discussion in Junyinghui Restaurant in Xuchang until 21:10.

22点到达许昌火车站，准备乘晚23点30分信阳——北京西2090次普快回北京，因火车晚点，在软席候车室讨论。凌晨1点45分上火车在11车厢8号包厢继续讨论，凌晨3点05分结束。
At 22:00 the group arrives at Xuchang Train Station, ready to take the 2090 23:30 Xinyang-Beijing West fast train, but because the train is running late they go on to have the discussion in the soft berth waiting room. At 01:45 they get on the 8th compartment of the 11th carriage of the train and carry on the discussion that finishes at 03:05.

8月4日上午9点30分在火车餐车上讨论，12点回到包厢继续讨论。
On the 4th of August at 09:30 the discussion continues in the restaurant carriage of the train, and they go back to their compartment at 12:00.

13点08分火车到达北京西站。
The train arrives at Beijing West Station at 13:08.

晚上 9点半五人在主体国际建筑设计机构讨论，直至次日零点09分结束。
At 21:30 the five members of the group start a discussion in the International Architectural Design Organization. It goes on until 00:09.

刘建华8月5日晚7点回上海，遇廿年未遇的“麦沙”台风。
On the 5th of August at 19:00 hours Liu Jianhua leaves for Shanghai, chancing upon Typhoon Matsa, a typhoon that has not been seen in twenty years.

8月6日下午3点洪浩、冷林和宋冬根据8·4决议进行实验。萧昱病倒。
On the 6th of August at 15:00 hours Hong Hao, Leng Lin and Song Dong start to conduct experiments according to the resolution reached on the 4th of August. Xiao Yu falls ill.

8月8日下午3点洪浩和宋冬再进行实验。3点20分刘建华从上海电话询问作品情况。实验至晚上11点50分结束。
On the 8th of August at 15:00 hours Hong Hao and Song Dong conduct some more experiments. At 15:20 Liu Jianhua calls from Shanghai to see how the project is going. The experiments go on until 23:50.

8月9日晚8点30分刘又电话宋冬，得知宋、萧、洪三人感冒，肠胃不适，工作太累。
On the 9th of August at 20:30 Liu Jianhua calls Song Dong again, and finds out that Song Dong, Xiao Yu and Hong Hao have a cold and a bad stomach due to the hard work.

8月10日冷林、洪浩、宋冬、萧昱陆续从下午一直工作到第二天上午10点多，并在月坛鱼乡饭馆讨论，几经周折，作品创作暂告一段落。
On the 10th of August, Leng Lin, Hong Hao, Song Dong and Xiao Yu take turns and work from the afternoon until 10:00 in the morning of the next day. During this period discussion is taken place in Yue Tan Yu Xiang restaurant. After a few setbacks part of the works is completed.

8月13日冷林、宋冬、洪浩、萧昱在“北京公社”整理空间，准备安装作品。晚上7点正，刘乘Z14次从上海出发，次日早6点58分到北京。
On the 13th of August, Leng Lin, Song Dong, Hong Hao and Xiao Yu prepare the space in "Beijing Commune" to mount an exhibition. At exactly 19:00 hours, Liu Jianhua departs from Shanghai on the Z14 train, arriving in Beijing the next day at 06:58.

8月14日由于北京湿度太大，作品无法上墙。晚8点5人陆续到达女人街附近的上岛咖啡讨论，决定9月3日开幕。讨论至次日凌晨1点10分。
On the 14th of August, due to the high humidity that Beijing is experiencing the works cannot be put up on the walls. At 20:00 the five members go to a cafe near Nurenjie to discuss, and decide to postpone the opening of the exhibition until the 3rd of September. The discussion goes on until 01:10.

8月15日下午5点冷林、洪浩、刘建华、宋冬在地铁立水桥站会面。赶上暴雨，在地铁站和冷林的汽车中讨论。
On the 15th of August at 17:00, Leng Lin, Hong Hao, Liu Jianhua and Song Dong meet in the Lishuqiao underground station. They are caught in a storm and have the discussions in the tube station and in Leng Lin's car.

6点20分五人到天通苑了解小区状况。后在天通东苑的大鸭梨餐厅继续讨论。
At 18:20 the five members go to the Tiantongwan residential area to find out about its condition. Later they go the Daliya Restaurant in Tiantongdongyuan to continue the discussion.

9点到萧昱的朋友音乐人文子在天通苑的工作室继续讨论。至11点30结束。At 21:00 hours Xiao Yu's friend, a musician called Wenzi, joins in the discussion in a studio in Tiantongyuan. The discussion ends at 23:30.

8月17日中午后，刘建华、冷林、洪浩、宋冬到萧昱在太阳宫公园附近的半岛园际公寓家继续讨论。
On the 17th of August after midday, Liu Jianhua, Leng Lin, Hong Hao and Song Dong go to Xiao Yu's home near Taiyuangong Park in Bandao International Apartments to continue the discussion.

3点移至半岛国际楼顶平台继续讨论。
At 15:00 they move to the terrace of the building to continue the discussion.

5点15分刘因要乘Z21次晚7点正回沪，而提前离开。余四人继续讨论。
At 17:15 Liu Jianhua leaves beforehand because he has to take the Z21 train to Shanghai that leaves at 19:00. The four remaining members continue the discussion.

晚9点萧昱、冷林、洪浩、宋冬在北三环的蟹老宋餐厅继续讨论火车上的刘建华用电话参与讨论。12点05结束
At 21:00 hours Xiao Yu, Leng Lin, Hong Hao and Song Dong continue the discussion in the Xielaosong Restaurant in the north Third Ring Road, and Liu Jianhua takes joins in over the telephone. It ends at 00:05.
8月18日五人分别按8·17决议开始工作。
On the 18th of August the five members start to work on the project according to the resolution agreed on the 17th of August.

8月21日洪浩去丹麦。
On the 21st of August Hong Hao leaves for Denmark.

8月21日冷林、宋冬、萧昱、刘建华用电话进行讨论。
On the 21st of August, Leng Lin, Song Dong, Xiao Yu and Liu Jianhua conduct the discussions over the phone.

8月28日在北京公社安装作品并进行讨论。
On the 28th of August the works are mounted in Beijing Commune and the discussions continue.

9月3日“只有一面墙”展览开幕。
On the 3rd of September the opening for the exhibition "only One Wall"takes place.

	8月2日，早6点35分五人到达许昌。 On the 2nd of August at 06:35 in the morning, the members of the group arrive at Xuchang.
	9点30分乘“面的”去临颍县南街村，在“面的”车上进行讨论。 At 09:30 they get on a taxi-van and go to Nanjie Village in Linying County, and carry on the discussion on the taxi.

	13点08分火车到达北京西站。 The train arrives at Beijing West Station at 13:08.
	晚上 9点半五人在主体国际建筑设计机构讨论，直至次日零点09分结束。 At 21:30 the five members of the group start a discussion in the International Architectural Design Organization. 	6点20分五人到天通苑了解小区状况。后在天通东苑的大鸭梨餐厅继续讨论。 At 18:20 the five members go to the Tiantongwan residential area to find out about its condition.
